I have decided that when my hosting runs out, I am not going to renew.  While it would be lovely to, I’m not going to.  However, I don’t want to wait until my hosting is almost dead, so I am going to be migrating my entries to another service soon.  There are two I have been thinking of.  Blogger.com and Wordpress.com.  I’m really leaning towards the google run blogger.com.  While I will have to migrate each post individually, it just seems like a nice service.  Plus it has MMS posting.  How sweet is that?

As you all know it is New Years Eve!  Everyone have big plans?  I don’t.  Might try to cover a chapter of the Python tutorial.  That is if my wife lets me… She will probably want to watch the ball drop or something silly. Well! Time for some updates from my life!

Weekend

Over the weekend I went to the doctor for a goopy eye and bad cough/congestion.  They gave me eyedrops and omnicef.  Fun fun.  The goopy eye is gone and the cough congestion is getting better.

Baby

My son has been rather gripey the past couple of weeks.  I believe he is teething.  I see alot of bumps along his gums.  If  I can get a good picture of it later I will post it.

Holidays

We had a good Christmas.  My grandma wasn’t there though.  She fell and shattered her shoulder on a bowling ball the week before.  Also had a couple of strokes.  They say she will be okay, and that she can go home when she wants to.  We bought Benjamin a Handy Mandy Toolbox… and someone got him a toy PT Cruiser that plays “La Viva Loca” by Ricky Marten… they failed to buy mommy and daddy a hammer.

Alright!  The lunch hour draws to a close.

I just had one of the BEST sandwiches ever. It went like this :

  1. Top of Whole Wheat Bagel
  2. Caesar Salad Dressing
  3. Turkey Slice
  4. Lettuce
  5. Turkey Slice
  6. Cheese Slice
  7. Bottom of Whole Wheat Bagel

I know this probably doesn’t sound too appealing, but it tasted awesome. I was thinking, as I was eating this bagel-sandwich of mine, what could I do to make it better?, and I have the answer.
I love Subway.  So Naturally I would turn it into a sub! I don’t think they have Caesar dressing though.  I can add that at home! Here is the breakdown for the perfect Turkey Sub:

  1. Wheat Bread
  2. Turkey (duh)
  3. Pepperjack Cheese
  4. Toasted? Yes Please
  5. Spinach
  6. Lettuce
  7. Jalapenos

Perfect.  I normally get Sweet Onion sauce and Chipotle, but I don’t think that would taste to good with Caesar dressing.  Might have to try.

What are your favorite sandwich combinations? I won’t laugh, I promise!

Coraline. What a great movie it was. I believe it had a bit of a lesson in it. Just a little bit. Maybe even more than one. But I only picked up one big one. Just a brief synopsis of the flick and then the lesson I got. All after the JUMP! Spoilers possible.

The movie opens with the Beldam, some kind of weird temptress that steals the souls of children, creating a doll in the form of our darling Coraline.

Cut to finding Coraline, who has just moved into a triplex type arpatment, attempting to find water with a dowsing rod. She runs into the crazy Wybie. His grandmother owns the triplex Coraline just moved into.

We then see Coraline in her new place. We see that she feels her parents neglect her. Her boredom drives her into a quest to count windows and catalouge the house.

Whilst on her quest she finds a mini door. She pesters her mother to unlock it.

While sleeping that night she awakes to a mouse or somesuch. She follows the mouse to the mini door and goes through it.

Inside is a world much like her own, except the parents and food are so much better.

After a few trips through the door, Coraline realizes that the Beldam is truly an evil thing. She pits her wits and her might against it.

In the end Coraline realizes that her old parents and old life were so much better.

Hence the lesson as I see it. Be thankful for what you have, tomorrow it might be gone.

I found one of the neatest little websites the other day. It is called Mystery Google. Now, lets talk about it.

It loads up, and looks like the normal Google page, except it is black, and just has the search bar. Now, type your query in, and what do you get??? NOT YOUR RESULTS! You get the results of the person who searched just before you. Wow. I know.

Now, before you go trying to get other peoples results, listen up. Many MANY people just use this as a way to pimp their phone number, or make stories for MLIA. And there is nothing wrong with that. But you can still get nifty searches.

The biggest thing is people asking to be called and sung too. Somebody called me and sung me a song I didn’t know, AND THEN I called someone and sang the Pokémon theme song to them. Good times.
